This week, WCCN is joining the 7th in Lima, Peru 🇵🇪 One of the most important gatherings for gender-lens investing in Latin America, bringing together investors, leaders, and changemakers working toward a more just and equitable future.
One of the highlights: our Executive Director, Will Harris, will be joining fellow leaders on the panel “Rewriting the Rules of Money,” a conversation about how financial services can better respond to women’s financial behaviors, economic decisions, and life trajectories. When women invest in their futures, the impact often reaches far beyond themselves.
Karla, Antonia, Daniela, Blanca, María, and the thousands of women we've supported for more than 40 years are powerful examples of this. Their stories remind us that access to fair credit can truly make a difference, but also that women still face structural barriers that limit their full potential.
This International Women's Day, we especially honor women microentrepreneurs across Latin America and reaffirm our commitment to keep working toward a more just and equitable world.
There is still much more work to do. Advancing gender equity requires all of us working together.

With a $900 microloan from WCCN’s partner COOPHEL, Mirna was able to start a small poultry farm, buying her first chicks and supplies. Today, she raises 100 chickens every seven weeks and sells them to neighbors and local shopkeepers, providing a steady source of income for her household.
Mirna also has access to healthcare for herself and her family through COOPHEL’s mobile health clinic, which provides essential care to families in rural communities.

Dear Friends and Supporters of WCCN,
As 2025 comes to an end, we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU. This year, thanks to your continued support, WCCN disbursed over $7.6 million through 17 loans to our lending partners across Latin America. These funds helped thousands of low-income microentrepreneurs access the credit they need to grow their businesses, support their families, and strengthen their communities.
From new partnerships to inspiring borrower journeys, 2025 was full of moments that remind us why this work matters—and why your solidarity makes all the difference.
We’re deeply grateful for the trust and shared purpose that unite us. Thanks to you, opportunity continues to grow where it’s needed most.
Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright start to 2026!
With gratitude,
The WCCN Team
