MacKenzie is currently having another revision. Surgery started later than expected but that's ok... She was nervous and hungry while we waited but over all in good spirits... her pic from this morning

Mackenzie age 13, almost 14, as you know has been a brave and determined Warrior since her diagnosis in 2018. Our girl is always thinking of others. This is what she has to say:
I go for monthly infusions at Oishei Children's Hospital. The infusion unit has just been moved and it's not as homey and comforting as it was before. I am putting together donations that I could bring in for the kids and teenagers that go through infusion treatments. Some things that I'm collecting are travel-size lotions, travel-size wipes, small comfort stuffed animals, activity books, colorful and soft blankets, and suckers. The lotions are for the marks that the band-aids and wraps leave behind. The wipes are for the band-aid and tape residue. They can also be used to clean up the occasional dry blood. The stuffed animals are for comfort and the blankets are for comfort and warmth. The suckers are for the metal and gross tastes the infusion leaves in your mouth.
In just a small period of time Mackenzie has accomplished so much already. Mackenzie has learned to crochet. Her intention is to make blankets for her fellow warriors. There is an Amazon Wishlist and two donation locations with more to come. All donations for this inaugural are due by Sunday April 2, 2023.

I would like to add for those don't know. MacKenzie has Parry Romberg Syndrome. It's an autoimmune disease . Her cells basically eat themselves. Starts out with the soft tissue works to the muscle and then the bone. Usually affects the left side of the face. Every case is different. This is a very rare disease she was diagnosed at 8. When she was 9 she had a surgery that in a perfect situation would have stopped her progression. It didnt..She still struggles with the progression... Kenz doesn't let this hold her down she always finds a way to rise above. This is her current mission.. Please consider helping.. even if it's just sharing her post..
