Science is in our name! One of the tools we employ is a sonic tree tap, which works by sending sound waves across the diameter of the trunk. By analyzing the speed at which the wave travels through the wood, we can then determine the integrity of the tree, allowing us to "see" any hollows, rot, or decay present.

We make sure we have all the facts possible before recommending action, and take pride in knowing all of our tree care decisions are rooted in science!

If you've been following along with us recently, you may have read our article detailing our work at the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Pew House. The next step in our restoration work at the site was the removal of a large basswood, which was leaning over the house. Using advanced rigging techniques, the crew was able to swing pieces away from the home, and safely to the hillside below. We are very happy to continue our role in the future of this home and site's legacy!

We climb more than just trees! Recently, some of the Tree House Arbor team was able to get out to Devil's Lake for a day of rock climbing. The team always enjoys getting outside on our days off, and relished the chance to try a different type of climbing.
