Congratulations to Patrick O’Halloran, whose local spice blend line The Deliciouser is a top seller for us.
Announcing Madison Magazine’s 2026 Chef of the Year …
✨ Patrick O’Halloran of The Deliciouser ✨
O'Halloran is charting a new course with his modern spice shop and restaurant The Deliciouser. More than 30 years into his career — which includes his work at legendary Madison restaurants Lombardino’s and The Old Fashioned — O’Halloran is using curiosity as his compass to trace the histories, techniques and traditions behind cuisines from around the world.
Also in this issue, Emma Waldinger highlights six chefs — all 32 or younger — who are laying the groundwork for a healthier and more sustainable culinary industry in Madison.
Ashley Knipschield at Pasture and Plenty
Drew Eckenrod at Ahan
Kasey Lee Cooke at Mint Mark
Chance Spivey at Canter Inn
Elijah Hipke at REAP Food Group
Katie Ankowicz at Kin Kitchen
Plus, Sam Zwick has a taste of Giovanni Novella's Italy at Osteria Novella, Denise S. Robbins finds her way back to the cello, and Jeff Oloizia provides a glimpse of the World Naked Bike Ride in Madison.
On newsstands June 3. Single issue orders are now live at madisonmagazine.com.
