Hey PSSAers!! Can’t wait to see you all tonight at our first meeting of the year! We will be in the Beefeaters room on the third floor of Memorial Union from 7:30-8:30pm. Bring along your friends, roomies, and/or classmates to hang out with an amazing community of poli sci students :))

Happy first day of the semester everyone! We hope you all enjoyed your first classes today and are looking forward to an awesome semester of PSSA events. Come meet one of our board members or talk to advisors and peer mentors from the Poli Sci department at their Welcome Back Bagels event tomorrow from 10:39-2:30 on the third floor of North Hall. Can’t wait to see you there!!

Swamped with final projects, missed lectures, and last minute catch-up work before finals week? Spent the lovely weekend tanning on the terrace instead of cramming for exams? Hungry and want to hang out with other Poli Sci majors? If any of these apply to you, stop by Union South tomorrow evening for Study Hours with PSSA!! Snacks (and emotional support) will be provided.

Last up we have Andrew Waldman as our new Treasurer! Andrew, also a sophomore, is looking forward to recruiting new members for next year and building the organization back up to what it was like before COVID!

Next up is our Secretary, Christina Treacy! As a sophomore and new member this year, Christina can’t wait to build a unique brand for PSSA on social media and plan fun ways for PS majors to get together next year.
Fun Fact: Christina Irish danced for 14 years!!

Meet Sam our Vice President! Sophomore Sam says he is excited to meet new people in PSSA next year and can’t wait to get some awesome speakers lined up!
Fun Fact: Sam is currently interning for Governor Tony Evers.

For our first new officer spotlight, meet our President! Junior Alexis Kwak says she’s most excited to see the club grow and be able to get some exciting in-person speakers next year!

PSSA is proud to announce that it will be matching all donations from our members to the UW-Madison Black Initiative Fund up to $250. Our Secretary position is open for applications! The secretary is responsible for record keeping of attendance and all meetings, there also spearhead public communications for PSSA. They will also work collaboratively with the entire executive board for event planning.
