SPROUT LIQUIDATION AT MAXWELL STREET DAYS! Since Lisa is leaving and the new workers' co-op wants to concentrate just on Four Star, we'll be starting to liquidate the Sprout inventory this weekend at Maxwell Street Days. Thursday and Friday, everything will be 30% off, Saturday 40% off and Sunday 50% off. Lisa's also selling off a lot of art, since there will be no room for it in the teardrop camper. So prepare for a more eclectic than usual Maxwell, and come early for the best selection of hanging planters, organic seeds and much more!
Peas, spinach and other cold hearty greens can be planted outside as soon as the ground can be worked, so it's just about time now. And the spring bulbs I have planted on the southwest edge of my house are budding. Yay, spring!!!

It's spring and the new seeds are here. Time to start planting (indoors, for now). Nick is keeping an eye on the new seeds.

Check out all the great new stuff we have for the holidays
Lots of new house plants in for the holiday, poinsettias, holiday cactus, live pine trees and much more. Also arriving this week are new air plants, bromeliads, and terrarium supplies. It's looking very festive in here.
We're celebrating Four Star's 28th anniversary November 7-11 with a big sale event, and all Sprout items will be 20% off. If you've been thinking about a wall planter as a holiday gift or a Perfect Pickler to save your fall produce or make some hard cider, or a plant to brighten up your home, the sale will a great time to make those purchases.

I admire how valiant the plants are, still putting out new flowers now.
I'm eating tomatoes and herbs from my garden every day now. And the hanging gardens outside the store are very perky now that there's finally been a little rain.
