From the City of Madison website: Midvale Heights residents take pride in their neighborhood. This is evident not only in their well-kept homes and yards, but also in their willingness to work together on key projects: beautification, neighborhood identification, traffic calming, etc. On any block you'll find a diversity of people of all ages - young families, professionals, retirees. The convenience of suburban living within minutes of downtown Madison is hard to beat. One of Madison's oldest communities, Midvale Heights was originally settled in the 1850s. By the early 1950s Midvale Heights real estate was comprised of a variety of subdivisions, including Oakville Heights, Kenmore, Hillview, Third Oak, and Coney Weston. The area's rapid expansion led to the creation of a neighborhood association in 1954, while many parts of Madison, Wisconsin were still being settled. Today, Midvale Heights includes more than 1,300 homes and approximately 1,500 living units spread over 616 acres. The area's long history has produced a wide selection of first class antique homes, featuring two-storey Victorian architecture and large luxurious properties.

The Madison Parks Division is hosting an open house style public information meeting at the existing Odana Hills clubhouse (4635 Odana Road) to share preliminary building and site concepts and seek feedback from residents and neighbors on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Our Midvale Heights Bison refurbeshment project is complete…they’re sitting pretty in their Meadow looking great! Thanks to the MHCA and our Volunteers! Check them out in their spot just north of the Bike path and just West of Midvale….great little intentionally designed park. Also, Pics from a busy and fun Westmorland celebration and Drone Show last night that we helped sponsor! !

Support your neighborhood by joining the Midvale Heights Community Association! Your $20.00 annual membership fee helps pay for the activities sponsored by MHCA from picnics to park concerts to pollinator prairies and much more. You can join online anytime - but please do so before our printing deadline of September 11 if you want to be included in our 2026-27 directory. We hope to mail the membership directory (which includes the neighborhood kids who will help you with yard work, snow shoveling, pet care, babysitting and other jobs) by the end of September. Members will also receive our discount card, good for money off goods and services from participating local businesses.

8 am – 2 pm though each sale may set their own hours
More than 30 homes will be participating in the annual Midvale Heights neighborhood garage sale over Labor Day weekend.
