Wisconsin National Guard members will be in the Fox Valley this weekend supporting local authorities with recovery efforts following this week's tornado.
Activated service members will be wearing safety vests, and military vehicles may be seen throughout the area as response operations continue.

More than 80 years after Wisconsin native and World War II fighter ace Maj. Richard I. B**g flew combat missions over Papua New Guinea, a recovered section of his P-38 Lightning “Marge” has returned to the United States with help from the Wisconsin National Guard! 🙌
Members of the Wisconsin Air National Guard transported the recovered aircraft section from Papua New Guinea aboard a KC-135 Stratotanker earlier this month, marking a milestone made possible through the enduring partnership between the Wisconsin National Guard and the Papua New Guinea Defence Force.

Last month, Soldiers with the Wisconsin Army National Guard’s 950th Route Clearance Company partnered with the U.S. Forest Service to remove obsolete culverts obstructing natural water flow within the Bitterroot National Forrest near Darby, Montana!
The joint operation was conducted as part of the Innovative Readiness Training program, a collaborative program that leverages military contributions and community resources to multiply value and cost savings for participants.

Yesterday, members of the Wisconsin National Guard helped kick off the opening ceremony for the 2026 Tamiok Strike exercise alongside the Papua New Guinea Defence Force in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea! 🤝
Tamiok Strike is a bilateral training exercise designed to improve the interoperability and readiness of the Papua New Guinea Defence Forces and U.S. Forces, and to enhance partner capacity to respond to conventional and potential natural disasters throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
