It's been about a month since we've announced our closure and now, here we are: Thursday, 10.30.25, is our final day in business. We are open 11am-6pm both Wednesday and Thursday and hope to see you!

Thank you for making the effort to come by over the last few decades, and over the last few weeks, especially.

Hours for our last week are 12pm-5pm Sunday and Monday and 11am-6pm Tuesday thru Thursday. We are usually closed on Mondays but are choosing to be here just in case that is when you are free to come!

We will continue our "20% off any sterling silver or gold-filled items and 40% off everything else" sale! Lots of beautiful beads and jewelry still available and also a variety of tapestries [$25-$40 each and 40% off] and other goodies for ya, too.

The Last One: Part Deux. 😉 We thought the September Night Market would be our last but we've decided to head downstairs for one more! Thursday October 16th is the last one of the season and we'll be down there from about 4:30-9pm. All of the jewelry will be 20% off what it's marked! [No beads downstairs for the market]

Our store will be open its normal hours, 11am-6pm, where beads are 30% off and everything else is 20% off!

After 35 years, Tropic Jewel will soon be closing its doors. After being told over a year ago that our building was being torn down, we started preparing for our inevitable closure. While that deal has since fallen through, we have still decided that the time is right, as the future is uncertain. We've truly enjoyed sharing this creative space with you and want to thank you for so many years of loyalty and support. The two of us have worked here for 20 years, and as of October 30th, will have owned it for 10 years, and that is our tentative last day. We'll update as we can with any changes, but for now, just wanted to share this news, and hope to see you soon.  - Shelby & Lauren

State Street's sidewalk sale, "Maxwell Street Days," is Thursday, July 17th thru Sunday, July 20th! The hours of the event are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm. Our physical store upstairs will be closed from Wednesday July 16th at 3pm until Tuesday July 22nd at 11am as we need 'all hands on deck' downstairs in our tents. We do apologize for that inconvenience and hope that you can plan ahead to get your bead fix! [We will have mostly jewelry in the tents.] Thank you so much, and hope to see ya for our sale!
