How are you spending the remaining summer days? What about a visit to Vilas Park? Vilas Park, located along the shore of Lake Wingra, is one of my favorite Madison Parks. With nearly 46 acres, there is ample space to go for a run, play tennis, have a picnic, sunbathe at the beach, fish, kayak and the list continues. Vilas Park is also located right next to Henry Vilas Zoo! It is about an 8 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride from the Memorial Union.

Look who's back in Madison! The goats aid conservation efforts by eating invasive species such as honeysuckle, buckthorn, etc., that hinder native vegetation growth. The goats will visit multiple different sites around Madison throughout the summer! I don't know how long they are at Turville Point Conservation Park before they move to the next location.

Stressing out about finals and the rainy weather isn't helping? D.C. Smith Greenhouse is a great place to take a relaxing break from finals without getting rained on. This greenhouse is located across from the Microbial Sciences Building.
