The pre-rally tech inspection can be a whole rollercoaster of emotions.

Swipe to see things with Ashley go from,
"Is that supposed to look like that?"
To, "Guys it supposed to look like that?!"
To, "It totally shouldn't look like that...."

Dustrunners Driver Spotlight Series: Preston and One-Eyed Willie
This infamous Chevy s-10, amicably named for its missing headlight, and it's driver . Already the 2021 TVR Prepared Rear Wheel Drive Class champion, Preston has plenty to defend against this season with the close competition of Modified Truck Class.
Preston's aggressive style, often described as "power sliding everything", currently has him leading the class championship. If having your competitors wondering how the heck you were so fast last lap were a RallyX superlative, Preston would surely hold that title too.

Dustrunners Driver Spotlight Series: Patrick and The Max
Having only been in RallyX for one season prior, and his Mitsubishi Might Max were the original "race truck" pairing. Co founder of the Modified Truck Class concept, Patrick helped push the SCCA to develop the rule set that now governs the class in the Tennessee Valley Region.
On-track Patrick constantly demonstrates a sense of vehicle awareness unrivaled by his teammates. Off-track his sense of humor and involvement within RallyX as a sport have made him a competitor to learn from over a few beers.

Dustrunners Driver Spotlight Series: Meg, Steve and Roscoe
This driver couple started the 2022 season on very different terms. Meg, a newcomer to RallyX but certainly not a stranger to going fast and Steve, the former driver of the #92 Raptor in 2021. These two can often be seen riding together, providing feedback on track conditions, giving advice to each other and their teammates, as well as providing assistance during events.
Both Meg and Steve have shown great improvement on-track throughout the 2022 season proving the old saying correct, "Couples who race together, stay together."

Dust Runners driver spotlight series: Ashley and Alejandro
started the 2022 season with no prior racing experience. Ashley quickly became the heart of the Dust Runners team with her consistent optimistic attitude towards racing. To Ashley, every run, whether faster or slower than the last, was an opportunity to have a blast. With this perspective in-mind, Ashley never seems to have a bad lap.

To think Modified Truck Class started as a thought experiment 6 months ago and has become such a competitive group fills us with as much pride as excitment!

Squad rolling out for the first rally cross of the season!

A mixed bag of experiences. Learned alot, had a few setbacks, and some of us even got our first ever runs in rally in.

This season is definitely going to be one to watch!
