We here at Wild Hawk are devastated by the news of the passing of Denny O’Neil. Denny was the writer who redefined the character of Batman in the 1970s. Denny’s work on numerous DC characters including Green Lantern/Green Arrow, The Creeper, Superman, and numerous others changed the way the public viewed comic books.

His parnership with the incredibly talented artist, Neal Adams, proved to be one of the most prolific, creative, and groundbreaking pairings in comics history resulting in a string of award-winning books that cast comic book heroes in a new and very realistic light. Together, O’Neil and Adams created the enduring characters of Ras Al Ghul and his daughter, Talia, who continue to appear as major players in the Batman mythos 45 years later.

We had the opportunity on several occasions to speak with Denny and get insight into his creations while being afforded the chance to get to know, just a little bit, the rare, brilliant, and talented man who had such an impact on us here at Wild Hawk Entertainment.

R.I.P. Denny, and thank you for all the words.

We are very saddened to hear of the passing of the extremely talented and inspiring model maker Bill Pearson. His work on film like “Alien,” “Outland,” Flash Gordon,” and “Moon” set a standard for model an miniature work that will continue to amaze for years to come. He changed the face of science fiction and action films, and television shows, including multiple Bond movies and the always enjoyable “Red Dwarf.”

We have lost a talent whose skill was as immense as the illusions he created.

R.I.P. Bill Pearson, you shall be missed.

Words cannot express our sadness at the passing of Syd Mead. His work has had such a profound influence on us here at Wild Hawk. Syd Mead designed the future we wanted to live in, a mix of far flung future and mid-century design refined by clean lines and exacting details. The world is just a little less bright today, for one of its stars will shine no more. Thank you Syd Mead, your vision will continue to guide us. R.I.P.

So, it’s been awhile...

While we may have been quiet, we have also been busy. We have been assisting with a number of Wisconsin-based projects, preparing scripts for our upcoming productions, and acquiring waaaaay too many bits and greeblies for our upcoming prop, set, and model work.
