🐾❤️ SCRAP FOR SHELTER!!! WHAT A SUCCESS! ❤️🐾

We officially wrapped up our first-ever Scrap for Shelter fundraiser benefiting the Dane County Humane Society, and we are absolutely blown away by what our community accomplished!

♻️ 199,740 POUNDS OF SCRAP COLLECTED!
💰 $18,975.30 RAISED!

We originally set a goal of 100,000 pounds, but our community kept showing up in a BIG way! Because of the incredible response, we extended the fundraiser an additional two weeks into September.

And you all kept bringing it in! 🙌

What started as a pile of unwanted scrap turned into nearly 200,000 pounds of material and a $18,975.30 donation that will help the Dane County Humane Society provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances to animals in need. 🐶🐱🐰🐹🐷🐴🐸❤️

A HUGE thank you to every person, family, business, farm, shop, and organization that donated scrap, shared our posts, and helped spread the word.

As a family-owned business serving our community since 1937, giving back is something we truly value. We are incredibly proud of what our community accomplished together.

SCRAP FOR SHELTER IS OFFICIALLY IN THE BOOKS, AND WE’RE ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR! 🐾♻️❤️

Thank you, Madison and surrounding communities! We couldn’t have done it without you.

On July 3rd, 1995 we towed this 1950 Oldsmobile 88 with 4,000 miles on the odometer. The new owner reached out to us looking to see if we recalled towing it and if we had any additional information regarding the vehicle? We know the driver, anyone recognize the neighborhood?

This wasn’t your typical tow. We recently put our heavy-duty equipment to work moving a 25,000 lb pool!

And when the front wheels of the rotator come off the ground, you know we’ve got a serious load on the hook! Our 50-ton rotator was putting in some work on this one.

At Schmidt’s, we’re versatile when it comes to towing and recovery. Cars, trucks, equipment… even pools! When the job calls for the right equipment and a little extra muscle, we’re ready.

You never know what we’ll be moving next!

Summer may be winding down, but we’re already looking forward to fall!

There’s just something about those cooler mornings, crisp evenings, colorful sunsets, and the changing seasons that makes us excited for what’s ahead. And of course, our trucks keep rolling right through it all.

From the last sunsets of summer to the first signs of fall, Schmidt’s is here 24/7/365. ❤️

Here’s to a new season, beautiful roads, and plenty of miles ahead!
