The first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season, Isaias, is expected to impact the Gulf Coast this weekend. Currently a Category 3 storm, Isaias is expected to rapidly intensify before landfall, bringing hurricane-force winds, heavy rainfall, and life-threatening storm surge to parts of Mississippi, Alabama, and the western Florida Panhandle.

As communities brace for impact, here's how you can take action:
🚨 Prepare: For those in the path, listen to shelter-in-place guidelines and evacuation notices from local officials.
🛐 Pray: Join us in prayer for the communities that may be impacted by this storm and for the first responders who will respond to their needs.
📲 Share: Help get the word out about the dangerous potential of this storm and encourage others to pray.

An update from last week’s The Great Sandwich Race between Macon, Columbus, and Savannah - the Macon team made almost 700 of the 1,446 sandwiches produced! Then Christ Episcopal Church made sandwiches on Sunday and filled the fridge! The Centenary Community Fridge had sandwiches for FIVE DAYS thanks to these community efforts. Thank you so much, everyone!
And, as always, please remember the Centenary Community fridge and pantry when you shop or have leftovers to share. So many people in the neighborhood depend on it to help bridge the gap.

We’re looking forward to our October Wednesday Supper that includes a fun pumpkin party!! The pumpkin party will benefit CCMI and you can RSVP to carve or paint a pumpkin that night. Our dinner will be ground beef or chicken tacos, tortilla chips with salsa and queso, salad, fall desserts, apple c***r, tea, and lemonade.
