APT Golf - Georgia Central

First event in the fall, more to come!!

What a fantastic day of golf at River North Country Club in Macon, Georgia! A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday, August 1st, and made it another great event. The competition was strong across all five divisions, with several players earning milestone victories.

🏅 Division 1 Champion
Drew Morris fired an impressive 1-over par 73 to claim the Division 1 title and take home the victory.

🏅 Division 2 Champion
James Teston battled his way to the championship, shooting 83 before defeating Lee Miller in a playoff to secure the win.

🏅 Division 3 Champion
Jeremy Poole put together a fantastic round of 79 to earn his first Amateur Players Tour victory! As if that wasn't enough, Jeremy also captured the Mid-Am Net Championship with an outstanding even-par net 72. Congratulations on an incredible day!

🏅 Division 4 Champion
Jan Gamlin continued his strong season by shooting 85 to win Division 4. Jan also claimed the Senior Net Championship with an excellent 1-under par net 71.

🏅 Division 5 Champion
Zach Wheeler shot 93 to earn his first Amateur Players Tour victory! Congratulations on reaching the winner's circle!

Georgia Central APT – Battle on the River Recap

What a fantastic day of golf at Wallace Adams Golf Course in Helena, GA, for the Battle on the River! The course provided a great test, and our players delivered another day of outstanding competition across all five divisions.

Division 1 Champion – Brady Ward
Brady put together a steady round of 77 (+5) to cruise to a 4-shot victory, earning the Division 1 title in impressive fashion.

Division 2 Champion – Bart Greene
Bart fired an excellent 75 (+3) to defeat Charleston Giddens by 2 strokes. Bart also added another trophy by capturing the Senior Net Championship!

Division 3 Champion – Levi Avery
Levi Avery carded an 81 (+9) to finish tied with John Benton after regulation. After one playoff hole, Levi sealed the victory to claim another Georgia Central APT title!

Division 4 Champion – Jeff "Doc" Jordan
Congratulations to Jeff "Doc" Jordan on earning his first Georgia Central APT victory! Doc shot 88 (+16) to take home the Division 4 championship.

Division 5 Champion – Mike Osbourn
Mike continued his incredible season with a 91 (+19), securing his 4th Georgia Central APT victory of the year! An outstanding accomplishment!

Mid-Am Net Champion: Charleston Giddens
Senior Net Champion: Bart Greene

Congratulations to Charleston Middens (Central Georgia) on earning a validated promotion from Division 3 to Division 2.
The APT's Tournament-Based Indexing and Flight Flex systems are designed to recognize sustained performance over time, and Charleston's results have earned the move.

Georgia Central Amateur Players Tour – Battle at the Dairy

What an outstanding day of competition at Morgan Dairy Golf Club in Griffin, Georgia! The course provided a great test, and our players delivered some incredible performances across all five divisions.

Division 1: Steven Hooks fired an impressive 73, finishing tied with Charles Hartley after 18 holes. On the very first playoff hole, Steven rolled in an 18-foot birdie putt to capture the victory in dramatic fashion!

Division 2: Georgia Central APT Chapter Owner James Teston put together a solid round of 76, edging Brandon Bennett by a single stroke to earn the win.

Division 3: Charleston Giddens turned in the round of the day, firing a career-best 71 (-1) to earn the division title. Charleston also took home the Mid-Am Net Championship, capping off an incredible performance.

Division 4: Brandon Fowler played outstanding golf, posting a very impressive 85 to claim the division championship.

Division 5: Traveling all the way from Kentucky, Mike Osbourn shot 89 to earn a one-shot victory over Steve Hooks and add another Georgia Central APT title to his resume.

Senior Net: Steve Hooks claimed the Senior Net Title adding on to his pile of points for the division.
