Every so often we get a pup that just makes us so very sad that we cry out in anger at life.
Sweet Bunny was not treated very well during her first 6 weeks of life. She was staved, beaten and left with semi paralysis in her neck which inhibited her ability to walk. Her body comp score was a 3 out of 10 and she had ring worm and an upper respiratory infection.
We cant go into too many details as charges are being brought against her former owners, but Bunny has had to wear multiple neck braces which inhibit her ability to play, sleep comfortably and generally be a puppy.
We have incurred a huge vet bill already and she still has a long road to recovery and more vet visits to come. But the good news is she is expected to make a 'near' full recovery.
Pups like Bunny should never have to experience pain like this in their short, innocent lives. Help us continue to treat and care for puppies like Bunny. She didnt ask to be born - especially not into the hell life she was born into.
Help us do all we can to fight that kind of evil in this world and make life better for those who have no voice.

The last kitten was finally caught (that makes 6!). Mama has been spayed and was adopted by a foster who has a couple barn cats. She will fit in nicely and will never give birth again and never go hungry again!
Thank you Anita Skinner , Tracy Smith and Sandy Nowik Yon . It takes a village!

We are routinely asked to help trap feral cats, get them fixed and vaccinated and often take in their kittens in the hopes of being able to tame them and save them from a cruel life on the streets.
An employee at Lowes reached out to us to help catch a feral mama cat that was on her sixth litter (yes, 6th!!!) at their store on Zebulon Road in Macon. We caught her and all of her 5 kittens.
A huge thank you to Anita Skinner for trapping and Tracy Smith for bringing to the vet. We cannot save these animals without our amazing volunteers, our dedicated fosters and of course donations.
We have 3 more feral cats that need trapping (2 have babies with them). We need help with funds because as you know, feral cats cannot be adopted so we do not get an adoption fee to cover their vetting.
Will you help us continue to trap and vet feral cats so we can end the overpopulation crisis hitting this state?

We were made aware of a horrible situation in southeast GA.
A person who meant well took in a couple strays, didn't get them vetted, the strays multiplied, the person got overwhelmed, puppies grew up and produced more puppies and in a 2 year time span the situation was completely out of control.
The dogs at the property are semi-feral, aggressive, not cared for and still reproducing.
We got a volunteer to drive the 3 hours each way to save the most recent litter of puppies only to find in the weeks if negotiating with this person, ANOTHER litter was born.
These puppies are all emaciated, severely malnourished, have fleas so bad their skin is peeling off, and parasites so bad they are vomiting worms.
We need everyone's help. If you know a neighbor is in over their head with animals, please offer to help get the animals spayed/neutered at the very least. There are many low cost options and often the biggest roadblock is transportation but most people reading these posts are willing to help drive animals to the vet at least one leg.
We are currently offering a $40 pitbull spay/neuter open to anyone. Just go to www.nolitters.org and take any availabla appt. These programs and puppies like these 2 litters we just took in cost money. Please help us continue with these life saving programs.
Please consider helping to drive to the vet or consider donating so we can find volunteers and pay for the gas and vetting.
It's going to take a village to end pet overpopulation. Please help us continue our life saving work.
