By the time you read this, I’ll probably be lying in my kennel, watching people walk by and wondering if today is the day someone stops for me.

I've been waiting a long time.

Long enough to watch dogs arrive and leave. Long enough to see seasons change. Long enough that some people don't even realize I'm still here.

But I haven't given up.

I still get excited when someone comes to visit. I still wag my tail when my favorite volunteers stop by. I still believe there's a family out there that will see me and think, "That's our dog."

I know I'm not a tiny puppy anymore. I know I might not be the first dog people notice.

But if you gave me a chance, you'd discover that all I've ever really wanted is someone to love.

A soft bed would be nice. A backyard to explore would be nice. But honestly?

I'd be happiest just knowing I belong somewhere.

No more waiting. No more wondering.

Just home.

We genuinely do not understand how Rocket is still waiting.

For YEARS, this boy has watched other dogs come and go while he sits patiently hoping his turn will finally come.

And here's the crazy part...

Rocket isn't a project dog.

He's not destructive.He's not wild.He's not difficult.

He's house trained, dog friendly, walks beautifully on a leash, is cat friendly, and absolutely adores his people.

He's the kind of dog rescue groups dream of finding for adopters.

At just almoat 3 years old, Rocket is ready for adventures, road trips, hikes, neighborhood walks, lazy Sundays, and everything in between. He bonds deeply with his people and just wants a family to call his own.

So we're asking honestly...

Every day, Scoot presses himself against the fence, hoping for a few extra scratches and a little extra attention. 💛

At 3–4 years old, Scoot is a total people dog. He greets everyone like an old friend and would happily spend all day soaking up love from his humans.

He's selective about his dog friends, but when it comes to people? He's all in.

Scoot is ready to trade kennel life for couch life. All he needs is someone to choose him.

🚨 **URGENT: OUR SHELTER IS FULL – THESE DOGS NEED HELP NOW** 🚨

Our shelter is beyond capacity, and time has run out for many of the dogs in our care. Several have been waiting far too long with little to no interest, despite being wonderful dogs who deserve a chance at life and a loving home.

Our shelter is full, and as new animals continue to arrive daily, difficult decisions are becoming unavoidable. These dogs urgently need adopters, fosters for rescues , or rescue partners to step forward **ASAP*
Many of our dogs are fully vetted and if not, they will be once adopted. They are vaccinated, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), dog tested, and food tested. They come in all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. Some are playful and outgoing, while others are gentle souls simply waiting for someone to notice them. Please help us give them the second chance they deserve. Adopt, rescue, share their posts, and spread the word. A simple share could be the reason a dog finds a home and a future.
