A lost friend has returned! Tarantello, my friendly tarantula puppet, was used in a play a few years ago and vanished. He was found today in the back of the theatre’s prop and costume loft. I feel like a missing child is back safely which probably says too much about me. 😂

Hmmm. I see two familiar running chefs in this post. 😀 Thanks to the Macon Bacon for hosting this fun race!
Rainy but still crispy!

Today we’re at historic Luther Williams Field in Macon, Georgia, for The Great Bacon Race 5K. There’s bacon at every mile and bacon at the finish, and Remy and I are here for all of it! Why the bacon? Macon’s minor league baseball team is the Macon Bacon. 😀🥓

Dug is a golden medal retriever, and the best one ever. Hooray for a rare age group win!

Dug and I are at the All About Animals Quarter Marathon. It was rainy today so Dug guarded my truck while I ran, but he’s with me now as we wait for awards. I really enjoyed the run today, relaxed into my pace, and was pleased with my time. Dug is pleased that the race is raising money for a local no-kill animal rescue.

This is part of my son’s senior AP Art portfolio on display tonight. I love that he painted Fred Rogers, a man whose puppetry (not to mention endless warmth and kindness) had a huge impact on me as a child. My son has gifted the painting to me after his AP work is through. It will be cherished.
It's great to see that one of my favorite puppet performers (and an exceptional ventriloquist and singer) is also a distance runner. She could probably put my puppet running to shame if she brought one of her friends along!

Remy and I are in Reynolds, Georgia, for the Taylor County Race for Literacy 5K. I have run this race many times over the years and enjoy its small-town charm. It’s part of the Georgia Strawberry Festival, so I have dressed appropriately. We’re looking forward to the amazing fresh strawberries at the finish!

How about 10 miles today? We’re joyful - and a bit sad - about the last race in this year’s runDisney season.
