My sweet girl turned 11 today and requested a “really chocolatey fudge cake”...so I delivered! Delicious King Arthur chocolate fudge cake with a chocolate whipped cream icing and topped with all her favorite chocolate bars/candy! 🤤🍰🍫

It felt so good to be back in the kitchen baking this wedding cake...it’s been a while! This couple is pretty special...I babysat Joel from the time he was a baby, nannying for his family all through my teens, and I also taught both Joel and Ashleigh in Kindergarten. So to be making their wedding cake all these years later was pretty special (not to mention that I now feel 👵🏻).
Anyways, For the cake I wanted to keep it simple and rustic with a simple design and real flowers for decoration. The inside was a dark chocolate cake with a Marionberry filling on top and a mocha filling on the bottom, iced with a vanilla buttercream.
Congratulations, Joel and Ashleigh! We pray God will bless you with a happy, blessed life together! ❤️

I forgot to share this Minecraft cake from a few weeks ago! This was so fun to make because I had my son build the LEGO scene and my daughter made the signs for the cake-a collaborative effort!
