6/6/26: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for portions of Lubbock, Lynn, Garza, Crosby and Hockley until 12 AM Sunday. This storm is capable of producing 70 mph wind gusts. Storm movement is southeast at 40 mph.

A non severe thunderstorm has developed in the western part of the metro. Storm movement is north northwest at about 12 mph.

The forecast is looking good for Game 1 of the WCWS Championship Finals. First pitch will be partly cloudy and 81°. It'll be 76° and partly cloudy, when Texas Tech gets the win. 😉
