Metropolitan Community Church is a Inclusive Christian church founded in the teachings of Jesus. Elder Troy Perry in Los Angeles, CA.

MCC Lubbock is a Christian church affiliated with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, founded in 1968 by Rev. Our denomination started out as having a special mission to le***an and gay communities. While we still have a special mission to the LGBTQI community, we joyfully welcome all people to join us in worship, church activities, leadership opportunities, and social justice activism. Membership is open to everyone. .

Lord, lead me through it all. When the path ahead feels uncertain and the weight of the world grows heavy, I ask for Your guidance and grace. Clear the confusion, calm my anxious heart, and remind me that I don’t have to carry this alone. Walk beside me through every high and low, and grant me the peace that comes from knowing You are ultimately in control.

Another artistic take on the coincidence of the Month of the Sacred Heart and Pride Month. Jesus loves the LGBTQ community with his most Sacred Heart, the Heart that was wounded for us, that is moved by our suffering, and that strengthens us in our work towards liberation.
Pope Francis writes, “The heart of Christ is ‘ecstasy, openness, gift and encounter”. He uses “ecstasy” (from the Greek ekstasis) to mean standing outside oneself... a going out of one’s own self-centeredness to reach, connect, and give oneself entirely to others in love.

Jesus’ love knows no boundaries, crosses every margin, and meets us exactly as we are. To the vibrant and beautiful trans community: you are seen, you are known, and you are deeply, unconditionally loved by God. Your journey, your courage, and your authenticity reflect the profound creativity of a Divine love that embraces you fully, always.

They came from entirely different walks of life… some carrying the deep wounds of religious rejection, others navigating the quiet doubts of the status quo… but in a quiet living room, a diverse circle of LGBT individuals & straight individuals found a shared, unexpected rhythm. Stripping away the political battlelines and cultural noise, they gathered simply to look at Jesus. In His inclusion, unwavering truth, and boundary-breaking love, they found a blueprint for a different kind of community. Choosing to follow Him didn’t mean erasing their differences; instead, it meant laying down their armor, embracing their shared humanity, and walking forward together into a grace that refused to leave anyone behind.

The Heart of the Mother
On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the Metropolitan Community Church’s vision of a love that knows no bounds. We honor the Sacred Nurturers in all their forms—biological, chosen, and spiritual—who embody the Divine’s compassionate embrace. Like a sanctuary for the soul, a mother’s love provides the strength to grow, the courage to be authentic, and the grace to persevere. Today, we honor every heart that has mothered another toward wholeness and light.

On this Mother’s Day, we celebrate the diverse and beautiful ways that the spirit of “Mother” moves through our lives and our community. In the Metropolitan Community Church, we recognize that the heart of a mother is defined not just by biology, but by an inclusive love that nurtures, protects, and sustains. We give thanks for the biological mothers, the chosen mothers, the foster parents, and the spiritual mentors who reflect God’s own nurturing grace.
