Many people have asked me who I’m voting for in the upcoming election. I want to be transparent, so here are the candidates I personally support and some of the reasons why. This is not me telling you how you should vote. Follow your own convictions, do your own research, and study the issues carefully. These are simply the candidates I believe best reflect the values and priorities important to me.🇺🇸 U.S. House, Texas District 19 — Abraham EnriquezWHY:• Strong America First / Trump-aligned record long before this campaign season.• Publicly defended biblical marriage and religious conviction, even when it was unpopular.• Founded Bienvenido, helping build Hispanic conservative outreach and voter engagement across Texas.Short version:Trump ally. Biblical-values advocate. Proven conservative organizer.🇺🇸 Texas Attorney General — Mayes MiddletonWHY:• Supported the Save Women’s Sports Act.• Authored legislation banning private-employer COVID vaccine mandates.• Worked to stop taxpayer-funded lobbying by political subdivisions.🇺🇸 Texas Railroad Commission — Bo FrenchWHY:• Openly supports a strong MAGA / America First energy agenda.• Endorsed by several grassroots conservative organizations.• Supported by Ken Paxton and the anti-establishment conservative wing in Texas.🇺🇸 Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 3 — Thomas SmithWHY:• Served in the Texas Attorney General’s office under Ken Paxton.• Focused on law-and-order issues including human trafficking and border-related enforcement.• Connected with conservative election-integrity legal efforts.Again — these are my choices, not commands for yours.Leadership matters most when cultural pressure is highest.

Many have asked me if I am supporting Ken Paxton—here is why I am. Because leadership matters most when cultural pressure is highest. These are some of the reasons why:• Defended the right of churches, religious schools, and private schools to remain open during COVID rather than allowing sweeping shutdown mandates.• Consistently fought for the protection of unborn life and defended Texas pro-life laws against federal overreach.• Challenged expanded access to abortion-inducing medication and federal policies that undermined Texas law.• Stood for stronger border security and challenged federal immigration policies that shifted the burden onto Texas communities.• Supported election integrity measures designed to strengthen confidence in the voting process.• Opposed federal vaccine mandates that compelled private businesses and employees under government pressure.• Defended Second Amendment rights, including challenges to restrictions on licensed firearm owners in public venues.• Advocated for parental rights and transparency in education, especially regarding policies affecting children and families.• Opposed Obamacare expansion efforts on constitutional grounds alongside other states. You may not agree with every position, but I respect leaders willing to take difficult stands instead of simply following cultural winds. Leadership requires conviction.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms today!
This weekend was extra special for our family as we celebrated our youngest son graduating from Regent University in Virginia Beach with his Master’s in Theological Studies. What a joy to gather together with family, including our sons and in-laws, and celebrate God’s faithfulness across generations.
As I look at this picture, I’m reminded that behind every strong family, every godly leader, every milestone, and every victory, there is often the quiet strength, prayers, sacrifice, encouragement, and love of a mother.
To my beautiful wife Gloria, and to all the mothers who pour out their hearts day after day — thank you. Your influence reaches farther than you know. You shape homes, futures, faith, and legacy.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed…” — Proverbs 31:28

Today was a proud and unforgettable day for our family as we celebrated our son Jonathan officially receiving his Master’s in Theological Studies from Regent University.
Watching him walk across that stage was a true blessing and a testament to his hard work, faith, perseverance, and dedication. Having the entire family there to celebrate this milestone made the day even more special.
We are beyond proud of you, Jonathan. May God continue to guide your steps and use you in powerful ways ahead. Congratulations, Master Jonathan! 🎓🙏❤️ GraduationDay
Hey Lubbock, District 3, your vote matters. Your voice shapes the future of our community but only if you show up.
Election Day is May 2nd, so Make a plan. Bring a friend. and let your voice Be heard. Let’s get out and vote for David Bruegel!
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
We took some time for a Staff Fun Day at Adventure Park, and moments like this remind me what a gift it is to pastor such an incredible church family alongside an amazing team. These are people who genuinely love God, love each other, and love what they get to do in serving His Kingdom.
Ministry is serious work—but it’s also full of joy, laughter, and shared moments that strengthen the mission.
Thankful for a staff that leads with heart, serves with excellence, and lives with purpose. The best really is yet to come.

I’ve been criticized with the claim, “Toti brings politics to the pulpit. He’s a fraud.” They’ve got it backward. I don’t bring politics into the pulpit. I bring the pulpit into politics. The pulpit is not a campaign office. It is a conscience. Scripture speaks to all of life — not just the portions that are convenient, comfortable, or culturally approved. God addresses money. God addresses sexuality. God addresses greed. God addresses injustice. God addresses pride. God addresses oppression. God addresses idolatry. Why would politics be the one arena exempt from truth? Politics is simply the public expression of moral conviction. Laws are moral judgments backed by force. Budgets are moral documents. Policies reveal what a society values — and what it is willing to sacrifice. If God speaks about how we treat the poor, the unborn, the stranger, the family, justice, truth, and the shedding of innocent blood, then by definition He speaks to the systems that codify those realities. Some are uncomfortable when a preacher addresses public issues. But discomfort often exposes something deeper. When politics becomes someone’s identity, tribe, savior, or ultimate hope, it becomes an idol. And idols always demand immunity from scrutiny. My assignment is not to carry water for a political party. It is to carry truth into every arena of life. If a sermon never confronts the spirit of the age, it isn’t prophetic — it’s performative. Jesus was not crucified for offering private spirituality. He was crucified because truth confronts power, hypocrisy, corruption, and false authority. The Church is not called to be partisan. But it is called to be prophetic. And truth does not become fraud simply because it challenges that which someone would prefer remain untouched. Just a thought. — Carl
