"On “Sharon’s Groove,” Braxton rides his sizzling melodic sax line and snazzy textures over the sparkling jangle of Mark Harper’s slick guitar and the tight pocket grooves of drummer Jason Thomas. It’s sexy and sensual throughout, with moments of building funk danceability, the perfect display of romantic passion, and a seductive soundtrack for Valentine’s Day or any other loving occasion. Whoever Sharon is, she’s damn lucky to have Braxton groovin’ over her!" Jonathan Widran

Something truly special is coming to Lubbock. 🎷
The Caprock Jazz Festival 2026 welcomes home Billboard hit saxophonist Tom Braxton — joined by the incredible vocalist Toni Redd — for an unforgettable evening that is equal parts history, heart, and pure groove.
The journey begins on the legendary Route 66 in Tulsa — where Tom's father first heard the giants of the swing era: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Chick Webb, and Ella Fitzgerald in the 1930s. Tom will even perform on his dad's original 1960s classic tenor saxophone. 🎷✨
And it ends right where it all began — with a joyful, groovin' West Texas CD Release celebration featuring music from Tom's brand new Flashback album on Innervision Records.
This isn't just a concert. It's a homecoming. 🤍

Guess who Ruby J is?(the title of my latest single)
She is my big sister! I recently spent some time with her on my way through San Francisco. We checked out Brenda's French Soul Food, Old Skool Cafe, the Willie May's statue and the Waymo driver-less cars. Good times!
