Louisville's Irish pub In Ireland -- where they've raised community and relaxation to an art form-- the pub is the social center.
It's a place to meet family, friends, or business associates, catch up on news, debate politics, share a joke. It's a place of character and cadence, rather than impersonal efficiency. At The Irish Rover, we've tried to recreate this idea of the Irish pub right here in Louisville. We can't build a smoky peat fire in the grate, but our recipes are authentic, the Guinness is shipped from Dublin, and the owner's brogue comes direct from County Clare.

This is an outdoor installation piece that Jerpoint Glass worked on with Triscele Forge. Made from blown glass and forged steel.
It is here in the Castle Yard Kilkenny, as part of the Of Sand & Ash exhibition.
Pretty sure thereās still a sign at Slieve League in Donegal, as wellā¦.
The Fleadh (a celebration of traditional Irish music and culture that takes place each year in a different town/city throughout the island) is on in Belfast! It goes until Sunday, if you happen to be heading overā¦

Renowned musician Glen Hansard has died overnight in a motorcycle crash in Dublinās Lucan.
The Academy Award-winning singer-songwriter was killed in the single-vehicle crash near Strawberry Beds in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
GardaĆ and emergency services were alerted to the collision on the R109 Lower Road, between Tinkers Hill and Rugged Lane, at 4.30am.
GardaĆ confirm the man received treatment at the scene of the incident and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Mr Hansard (56) is married to Finnish poet Maire Saaritsa and they welcomed their first child in October 2022. They split their time between Ireland and Finland.
Mr Hansard first emerged from Dublinās legendary busking scene before forming The Frames in 1989, earning a reputation as one of Irelandās most compelling live bands.
His international profile grew through his role in The Commitments, before worldwide acclaim arrived with the independent film Once.
Starring alongside MarkĆ©ta IrglovĆ”, Mr Hansard co-wrote the Oscar-winning song Falling Slowly, launching The Swell Season onto the global stage and cementing his reputation as one of Irelandās finest songwriters.
This year, the acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter was working on his show Transmissions East and West, a powerful live presentation inspired by the communal spirit and raw energy that defined his remarkable musical journey.
Mr Hansardās career spanned more than three decades.
