Some people see a pile of boxes.
A sysadmin sees a Monday morning problem and a Friday afternoon flex.

Nobody notices when everything works.

Nobody walks into the office and says, “Wow, email is up”, “Great job, the backups completed”, “Fantastic latency today.”

But the second something breaks… suddenly everyone knows your name.

So here’s to the sysadmins who spend their days preventing disasters nobody will ever know happened.

The best IT work is often completely invisible.
Until it isn’t.

From everyone who spends their days around racks, servers, and blinking LEDs: we see you.

How many tickets are currently sitting in your queue?

There’s something satisfying about a rack that came together just right.

We’ll start with our pics, now it is your turn.

Drop a photo of your current setup in the comments: homelab, server room, network closet, under-desk build - all welcome.

Every setup has its own story. Share yours!

Not a construction site.Not a construction site.
Just a quiet little data center situation going on in the corner.

The rack looked perfectly organized on day one.

Eighteen months later, one cable needed to be replaced, and suddenly it turned into a 40-minute scavenger hunt.

Color coding, labeling, cable management, documentation… all those “small details” become very important the moment something needs maintenance.

Future you will either be grateful or very, very annoyed.

The spec says 600mm. Your server is 580mm. Should fit, right?
Then you route the cables behind it.

The rule nobody puts in bold: always add 100mm behind your deepest device for cable routing. That's your real minimum rack depth, not the chassis measurement, not the listed spec.

Most people find this out on delivery day.

The adjustable feet on a server rack are one of those details that only matter when the floor isn't perfectly level, which is most floors.

Four feet. Independent adjustment. The cabinet sits flat, doesn't rock, and doesn't transfer vibration to the equipment inside. Takes two minutes during installation and saves every future interaction with the rack.

The kind of thing you only notice when it's missing.

Edge computing isn't a buzzword anymore. It is a Tuesday afternoon problem.

Servers are moving out of dedicated rooms and into offices, studios, and open spaces where people actually work. The enclosure needs to keep up, be quiet enough to coexist with people, be cool enough to run real workloads, and be compact enough to fit the space that exists.

That's not a future problem. That's what's happening right now.

We have the solution: sysracks.com

The electricity powering 1,000 American homes.
Now imagine that same amount of energy flowing into a space the size of a filing cabinet.
That's what AI chips require today. And they all need a rack to live in.
