A private event can look perfect on the inside while serious liability develops at the entrance, bar, or parking lot.

For weddings, quinceañeras, and private club events, professional security matters. Licensed, uniformed, and fully insured officers help protect the host and venue through:

• Entry control and guest verification
• ID and alcohol checks
• Parking lot presence
• Crowd and incident response
• Clear incident documentation

Over-service, unauthorized guests, disturbances, and parking lot incidents can place significant responsibility on the host and venue. Unlicensed “door guys” may transfer that risk directly onto the client.

ION Security and Investigation provides professional event security backed by trusted service since 2014, 24/7 dispatch, and statewide Texas coverage from our headquarters in Longview.

Reserve your date. Call 903-295-2500.

On September 18, 1848, the tomb at Monument Hill in La Grange was dedicated. The remains of the men who fell in the Dawson Massacre and the Mier Expedition were finally laid to rest together on the bluff above the Colorado River.

Sam Houston and other Texas dignitaries took part in the dedication. It was more than a ceremony. It was a community’s solemn refusal to let its dead be forgotten.

ION Security and Investigation honors that same sense of duty. Those who stand watch over others carry a responsibility to remember the sacrifices that made our communities possible, and to serve with discipline, integrity, and resolve.

Remember the fallen. Stand ready for the living.

On September 17, 1842, Texans under Maj. John C. Hays and Mathew Caldwell engaged Gen. Adrián Woll’s Mexican forces at the Battle of Salado Creek, northeast of San Antonio.

After capturing San Antonio six days earlier, Woll’s forces faced Texan defenders prepared to hold a defensive position. They repelled several Mexican infantry assaults. That same day, a Fayette County militia company under Capt. Nicholas Mosby Dawson was intercepted by Mexican cavalry while en route to join the fight. Most of the 53 militiamen were killed or captured in what became known as the Dawson Fight. Woll evacuated San Antonio two days later.

The safety lesson remains clear: preparation, discipline, and defensive readiness give defenders the advantage. Those who plan before a threat develops are better positioned than those who react after the fact.

ION Security and Investigation remains committed to professional preparation, disciplined protection, and readiness across Texas. Call 903-295-2500.
