Come early to get your supplies and enjoy a day full of helpful resources from various organizations sharing information about their services.

*Students must be present to receive supplies. No registration needed. See you there!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending Coffee with Congressman Nathaniel Moran, along with local leaders in Harrison County. It was a great opportunity to hear directly from Congressman Moran about important federal legislation and workforce initiatives that could truly benefit our East Texas businesses and organizations.

He provided updates on the WAGES Act, Building Youth Workforce Skills Act, A Stronger Workforce for America Act, and ongoing economic development efforts. We also appreciated the chance for everyone in the room to share their biggest workforce challenges.

Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) - Community Healthcore For families with children birth through age 3 who have developmental delays, disabilities, or medical diagnoses that may impact development

This week, Officer Duffie and Officer Moore from Longview’s Police Outreach Service Team (POST) attended the 9th Annual IDD Crisis Intervention Services Conference with a few of our crisis and IDD staff. We deeply appreciate their dedication and commitment to enhancing their understanding of how to better support individuals with disabilities and their families during crises in our communities.

What is POST? 🤔
POST officially began in Longview on January 1, 2018, with two officers dedicated to people experiencing homelessness. The goal of the team is to reduce homeless-related complaints by acting as a bridge between the homeless and available appropriate services. The creation of this team was one of the recommendations of the Mayor's Task Force on Homelessness in 2017. POST is modeled after successful programs in other communities, such as Lubbock and Houston.
