The Longview PD Blue Santa program, a non-profit sponsored by members of the police department, has been bringing Christmas to children in the Longview area for over eleven years. This year, Blue Santa partnered with Walmart and received assistance from officers, deputies, and troopers from various departments for two nights of "shop with a cop" at the Walmart on 515 E. Loop 281 this week.
Blue Santa thanks all sponsors for their generous donation to the organization and expresses gratitude to donors and volunteers who contributed throughout the year, making this season a success.

The Longview PD Blue Santa program, a non-profit organization sponsored through the police department, has been helping bring Christmas to the children in the Longview area for over twenty years. This year, Blue Santa has partnered with Walmart and Longview Police Officers, Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, Gregg County Constable Precinct 1, Longview Police Explorers, Longview Citizen's on Patrol, Longview Fire Marshal’s Office, Longview Fire Department, Gregg County Sherriff's Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Hallsville Police Department, Chuck Boyce with the Tyler Police Department, and several volunteers for two nights allowing children to “shop with a cop” picking out presents and gifts. This event is hosted at the Walmart located at 515 E. Loop 281 and occurred from Monday, December 5th through Tuesday, December 6th.

This year with the generosity of the East Texas Community, Blue Santa was able to help 150 children have a better Holiday Season. Children and families received goodie stockings and free stuffed animals or books from Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center before getting to "shop with a COP." Officers were humbled and excited to be part of the event and make a difference in the lives of the children.
