Our incredible volunteer drivers Evan & Terry landed in Blountville, TN this morning with 9 adult dogs and 3 cats from Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center. These sweet kids start their new lives full of hope and second chances settling in with our good friends at The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue. We SO APPRECIATE our volunteer drivers and rescue partners!!

Longview PAWS is HITTING the ROAD again Monday afternoon, 9/21 with a Van full of Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center shelter pups and kitties making their way to our incredible rescue partner The Bridge Home No Kill Animal Rescue in Blountville, TN.

Our dedicated Volunteer drivers, Terry and Evan, will head out with 12 (9 adult dogs and 3 cats) shelter pets- Pearl, Sassafras, Socrates, Megalodon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Walter, John Price, Saxaphone, Ruth, Buddy, Mocha Frapp and Long Furby get their 2nd chance!! Friends, we cannot stress enough how BIG this trip is as finding rescue partners who can take adults is SO CRUCIAL.

We're looking for TRANSPORT SPONSORS for our "OPERATION PAW-SOME" Transport Project.

A $40 SPONSORSHIP of each animal will cover: (we had to outsource our health certificates this trip so $10 increase)

✔️ Fuel & Van Maintenance for the journey (with fuel costs at an incredible premium right now- this is crucial)

🐾 MEETING OUR COMMUNITY WHERE WE’RE NEEDED. 🐾

Today’s pop-up microchip & vaccine clinic at Rollins Park, part of the City of Longview's Project 365 neighborhood, may have looked a little different from the massive drive-thru clinics we’ve hosted in years past — but the mission behind it hasn’t changed.

Make essential pet care accessible. Keep pets healthy. Keep families together.

While much of our recent focus has been on creating new, affordable spay/neuter options for our East TX community, we haven’t forgotten just how important basic wellness care is. Vaccines protect. Microchips reunite. And access to affordable preventative care can make a very real difference for families who love their pets but may need a little help caring for them.

So, no — you may not see the giant PAWS drive-thru vaccine clinics of years past recently (don't fret- they're not gone forever).

We haven’t stopped. We’re just doing things a little differently.

Smaller. More targeted. More mobile. And focused on meeting our community where the need is.

Today’s pop-up clinic is just one example of what’s ahead.

Through The PAWS & Effect Project, with our partners in passion Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, we’re working to create more opportunities to bring resources directly into our community — from affordable spay/neuter and wellness care to food, supplies, education and beyond.

Because sometimes making the biggest impact means simply showing up where you’re needed most. 💜💚 More is coming. Stay tuned.

BIG, BIG kudos to Officer Massolia and Officer Garcia with Longview Animal Services who went door to door talking to our neighbors and offering them resources (even picking up 8 dogs from home and delivering them back home). All peanut butter collected will support the East Texas Food Bank annual Peanut Butter Drive helping provide a nutritious, family-friendly staple to our East Texas neighbors in need.

Come find your PUR-FECT match, bring the peanut butter, and help us spread a whole lot of love throughout East Texas!
