I love how these custom reeded shower doors turned out for a custom build. The homeowner wanted some privacy glass so we decided to do something a little different and more curated than a rain glass. Thanks to Independent Glass & Mirror for making these happen!

Wallpaper could never đ this custom mural creates a custom detail that is lasting and I hate this word but âtimelessâ đ it truly is something that wonât go out of style.
When designing this kitchen we wanted to create an enclosed custom feel. While doing so, we took the cabinets up to the ceiling while creating hidden pantry doors to make everything feel built in and custom. The problem we had with that was the mudroom from the garage was right there as well and was a main entry point. Solution, add Harmon hinge doors.

Foyers are one of the most important areas of your home because it is what sets the tone. Donât skimp on the design and styling of your foyer. For light fixtures I usually have a few areas I splurge on in a home and then save on the others, the foyer is definitely a splurge area.

Your shower floor MATTERS
- I usually prefer using a mosaic tile on center point drains because itâs easier and less costly but if you have a seasoned tile installer you can do an envelope cut and use any floor tile you want, large or small, itâs just costly in labor. If you are wanting to use a larger floor tile, another approach is to use a liner drain, the labor wonât be as costly and it will look more seamless (this need to be planned before the build begins)
You DONâT have to use schluter for your edging in your showers
- My favorite and less costly way is to use a bullnose or pencil BONUS if you find a tile with a matching pencil or bullnose. Another way is to have your tile edges mitered. This creates a seamless look to where you donât have to use a an edge at all. It is more expensive to do this approach.
Consider your grout color
- my personal preference is to use a grout color that matches the tile so the tile is the star of the show. Not everybody does it this way, and there are several colors to choose from.
Consider your grout joint sizes
- For wall tiles and main floor tiles, I always want my grout lines to be as tight as possible. 1/16â is the smallest you can go and I try to do as close to that as possible. For mosaic tiles and irregular cut tiles, you will have to go larger, usually around 1/8 of an inch or a little more.
