Customers tree roots were lifting the ground and nearby concrete, it had to go. Lesson: when planting a tree think ahead and install a root barrier and deep root watering system. To install a root barrier and deep root watering system; a root barrier is a thick, 2'-4' deep, plastic sheet that is installed around the tree about 3' from the base encompassing the tree. Within the ring of the root barrier 2 holes are dug about 3' deep and 1' wide. A perforated pipe wrapped in root barrier cloth is sunk into the holes and filled with gravel. A bubbler sprinkler is situated over the gravel or simply put water down the holes with a hose as needed.

A new customer wanted these shrubs poodle shaped - back to what they looked like 5 years ago...done.
