Rekara is my right hand—I could not do what I do without her. Our community, and every community she graces, is enriched immeasurably by her. I spent the day in the desert yesterday with some of my first-year students. A glorious and delightful day that couldn’t have been more beautiful. So profoundly grateful for these amazing people who I love with my whole entire heart, and for the sacred work I get to do.

On the wall at my gym. Coach Leo is always promising, never delivering—pizza, that is. Oh sure, I’ve gained over 5 pounds of lean mass in 3 months and recovered amazing mobility and strength Ive never before had, where two years ago I was walking with a cane, sure. BUT WHERE’S THE PIZZA, LEO????

New earlier hours start today!

Spent today hiking in the mountains, clear and crisp after the “rain” and one of the most gorgeous days I’ve seen in a long time. Soothes my soul, being outside with the trees.

Gorgeous day for a hike in the mountains! Clean crisp air after the rain, and so much is emerging from summer dormancy. Can you ID the plants? (I initially wrote “can you name the plants?” But I know you folks and there would be a spate of Andreas and Bobs and Euripides)
