So as y’all know, I’m My Key COMICS - recently I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus from comics to pursue other collectible ventures and work on my physical health.

But… As any good addict can protest… quitting cold turkey… Um… 😬 not in vocabulary.

Sealed, 1st release, Red Sonja, CBS FOX 1985

While everyone knows of Conan, the Barbarian, few are aware of this murderous heart throb!

Beautiful and brutal, the only thing more red than her signature hair, was the pool of blood left by her enemies.

She debuted in Conan, the Barbarian #23, created by the comic writing genius of Roy Thomas and legendary art style of Barry Windsor-Smith in 1973.

Red Sonja is still an obsession in comic community, with ongoing publications and the rumors of a TV show about to begin production!!

Thank you the best banner ever! I could imagine a classier way to display was my obsessions: comics books, animation art, video games and, my new found love, VHS/Beta tapes!

This is the only US MCA wrap around copy I have every seen and it’s a miracle it was able to survive in this pristine condition for nearly 40 years.

Beyond the obvious nostalgia that draws people to movie collecting, this was the genesis being able to choose and control your home entertainment. This paradigm shift paved the way for video games and now all the streaming services we all use today.

From cultural significance, to scarcity, to badass art - these are true treasures.
