Upcoming class on September 17th from 6-7pm! We will have a Citizenship Eligibility Workshop where you can ask questions directly to an immigration lawyer about the citizenship process. It will be taught in English, but we are happy to provide interpretation for another language if you need, just let us know in advance!

The Safety Rodeo held with the Bear River Health Department was so fun! About 35 kids were fitted for helmets and participated in the course with their bikes and scooters. ⛑ 🚲 🛴

Another Financial Literacy Class is in the books, so we wanted to share the graduation photos! One person came all the way from Utah County to attend because they heard it was such a great course to take.

Arthur is our August volunteer of the month! He is so kind and easy going with clients. He takes the time to get to know clients as he assist them with their employment needs. He is always willing to stay later than normal job club hours if needed and is consistently showing up. He is always willing to learn new things and ask questions if he does not know! We asked him to share an experience he's had during his time on the employment team and here's what he said,

"Two weeks ago another volunteer named Tiffany and I helped with someone from Eritrea who had brought along their child to translate. The child had recently graduated from high school here in the valley and exuded a quiet self-confidence that in turn inspired Tiffany and me to think a bit more creatively than we otherwise might have been able to on our own. We successfully completed an application to Costco that seemed to match their skills, and which we’d come to believe would immensely benefit Costco, especially to the extent that they value diversity in their workforce. We all joyously high-fived each other. And to top it off, when we asked the child what their employment ambitions were, they asserted that they wanted to pursue nursing studies, which, lo and behold, is Tiffany’s specialty at USU. A true win-win consultation. 😎"

Tomorrow, August 20th, buy from Woodsy Art Café and half the proceeds will be donated to CRIC! Woodsy is located at 53 E 100 N Logan, UT 84321.
