* Bio: U*i Selcer began meditating after a course on MBSR for physicians in 1999. This led to an interest in the Buddhist basis of mindfulness and a dedicated study of the early Buddhist teachings as recorded in the suttas of the Pali canon. He had the good fortune to sit several in-person retreats with Bhikkhu Analayo, including a month-long retreat at the Forest Refuge on early Buddhist meditation practices. U*i is a facilitating teacher for Bhikkhu Analayo’s immersive courses offered at BCBS. U*i recently retired after a 35 year career as a physician and is happy to have more time for the practice, study, and sharing of the Dhamma.
