This is a flip and write (and scratch and roll) for the ages! As employees of the zenith corporation, you are charged with setting up a successful farming operation on a new planet! Though tending is the name of the game, you can also raise animals, fish, mine, chop, and gift your way to success. I got the super deluxe version that can play up to 12 people, but who knows if I'll ever get that many. Best to be prepared anyway, though it sure is one hefty box. I'm a big fan of all my other games, so I'm excited to try this one out soon.

An expansion for one of my favorite games to play with large groups! This one adds six new chefs with special S.P.O.R.K. (Super Powerful Object to Revolutionize the Kitchen) abilities that take a bit more planning and preparation than the other chefs. It also includes 6 new restaurants and recipes to match, so even more food-based mayhem to be had. Plus, fancy acrylic standees! I may not use them often, but they are cool.

A new crew of 4 outcast heroes join the Dice Throne roster:
Raveness - she and her raven Nevermore will drain your life force and put powerful hexes on you.
Pale Lady - her scars hide her dark side as when the full moon rises, she turns into a powerful werewolf .
Headless Horseman - avoid his relentless pursuit as the spooky spectre chases you down.
Necromancer - he collects bones and raises and army of minions, so good luck fighting him!
These new heroes all have very interesting play styles, so I'm excited to try them out soon.

To celebrate 105 years of the 19th amendment, I played this game for the first time tonight! I've had it for a bit, but if there was ever a day to play it, it was today.

Players take on the roles of the suffragettes or the opposition (or an oppobot automated opponent) to explore the history involved with the process of getting the 19th amendment passed in Congress and ratified by the states. All of the cards are based on historical events and there is a TON of supplemental materials in the box, replicating actual documents from the period.

On top of all that historical knowledge, it was also a very fun, intense game. The amendment got through Congress and then it came down to final voting for the states and things got intense. Hearts were pounding and it was all on the line! A very fun, informative, and emotional game for all involved. I will definitely have to try this one again soon.

Just like it says on the box: build, trade, settle. Haven't played this one in a long time, but it's still good! Sometimes the dice are in your favor, and other times, they're not. I almost snagged a victory with the largest army, but got beat out by the person with the longest road.

A bit of a spooky game for the middle of summer, but quite fun! Players are different heroes investigating supernatural terrors and trying to win a showdown against the villain.

I've had Last Night on Earth from , so I was stoked when I found this one available at a garage sale. Same great photographic art for the card, campus vibes, though a bit different gameplay wise. We played cooperatively and were able to take down the vampire, but there were some close calls. Enjoy the blurry close up on the last picture.

I haven't posted in a while, but board gaming is still happening! I just always forget to take pictures. But here are some recent additions to the collection, so that's something.

🐑🧱🪵🌾🪨 Catan - a bit of a classic board game at this point, but one they got me into gaming! Collect resources, trade, and build to get to 10 points first.

⛳🌎🤖 Risk 2210 A.D. - If normal Risk isn't tricky enough for you, what about Risk in the future? With commanders, ocean cities, and moon bases, this one adds quite a bit to the classic.

📚🏫 Legend Academy - Play as different legends as they travel through literary adventures!

Got a new game all about doing some fishing, even when it's a little sketchy. Plus, it came wrapped very fancily and was made using eco-friendly methods and materials, so that's cool.

Another Monday, another new(ish) game played!

🟥⬆️ Red Rising

Based on the hit book series, this is quite the tricky hand management game! With 14 colors, all who do different things and score depending on other cards, it's a lot to keep track of! Not to mention progressing your fleet, gathering helium, and influencing the institute on top of that.

We played with the full 6 players and had a lot of fun! I focused mostly on my fleet and managed to get a pretty spectacular hand out together, so I won by 5 points. Lots of strategies though, so I'm excited try it again sometime. Having some foreign snacks made it great as well.

This one has been on my "to play" list for a long time, so I was excited to play it tonight.

Players are categorizing different things in their brains and trying to maintain a good balance and fill out their minds. Things include friendships, hobbies, finances, and love, which all interact and score points differently. It's a tricky balance and I did a lot better in my first game than my second game, so I guess I over thought it. Another fun small box game from !
