We have been through some trying times together over these last few years haven't we?! But even though the world is not yet perfect, it does seem closer to normal than it has in a long while. We are able to finally celebrate!!! And let's do just that, keeping Christmas with all the joy and thankfulness that Mr. Scrooge did on that first morning when he realized what Christmas was really all about !!!

I start the Christmas season with this quote because, as much as I enjoy the hustle and bustle and excitement of the holidays, I often look back and say" Where did it go?" In hurrying to "get it all done" , I often miss the joy of doing it. It becomes a burden rather than a blessing.
This year I want to do things differently. I want to thoughtfully place each decoration. I want to carefully choose each gift. I want to take the time to tell each person I send a Christmas card to how special they are to me instead of just signing my name. I want to savor the beauty of the snowflakes as they fall.
This is supposed to be the season of peace on earth and silent nights. We may not get everything done but each thing we do will be done with love.

I always encourage guests who come into the store to meander, relax and enjoy the beauty of the lovely vintage treasures that surround them. We so often hurry through life and in order to stay sane , a moment or two of pretty can do alot to calm our spirit!
These beautiful pieces of Majolica are rich in color and history. Majolica has been around since the 15th century!

The Lady of the Locks was visited by the beautiful fairy princesses last night... It was magical!!!

Victorian petticoats hanging out on a crisp Autumn morning, just like they did over a hundred years ago.
Each time I find one of these beautiful garments I am amazed that they're still here for us to enjoy.
