As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, we look back to the 150th Capital City Anniversary Celebration, also known as LR 150. This celebration, held in 1971, commemorated 150 years of Little Rock being home to the capital of Arkansas. This citywide festivity held several events and ceremonies. These included plenty of live music, historical reenactments, and the first ever annual High School Girls All-Star game, held at the Barton Coliseum.

Explore more history about the 150th Capital City Anniversary, along with other events that were held in Pulaski County, in the recently digitized collection of historic celebrations, parades, and fairs: https://cals.click/parades
