There’s nothing quite like the taste of summer and sharing sweet treats together. Yesterday, Landis Homes residents and team members gathered across campus for our annual Strawberry Social. With the heat and threat of storms, we brought the celebration indoors, creating multiple welcoming spaces filled with conversation, laughter, and plenty of fresh strawberries.

It took 200 quarts of berries from Harvest Lane Farm, and gallons of Hershey's Ice Cream, a brand with deep Lancaster roots, bringing local flavor to a sweet tradition. Thank you to residents, team members and Everence Financial staff who washed, cut, and served this treat. We are grateful for this cherished tradition!

You’re invited to a special art exhibit featuring the work of Milt Friedly at Crossings Art Gallery at Landis Homes!

Join us for the Show Opening & Reception on Saturday, June 6, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. Milt is an artist and educator whose fine art career spans more than 40 years, with work ranging from clay vessels and mixed media pieces to paintings, sculptures, hand-pulled prints and more.

The exhibit will remain on display through August 14, 2026.

Last week, residents and team members celebrated National Senior Health & Fitness Day with a full day of wellness, movement, and fun!

The Wellness Department hosted a variety of activities throughout the day, including morning yoga under the pergola, Cycling Without Age bike rides, a balance clinic with Symbria, team member vs. resident volleyball matches, and hot dogs on the grill afterward.

It was a wonderful day to celebrate staying active, building community, and enjoying time together! National Fitness Day Events

The finance team spent the morning with a tour of the Meadows Construction. We only let them out of their offices on rare occasions! 😉

What an incredible way to close another successful season of Sing for the Moment!

This year’s concert filled West Bethany Chapel with energy, joy, connection, and music. The season included 64 choir members, who were joined for the first time by members of the Children's Choir of Lancaster.

Sing for the Moment also officially went bi-coastal this year, with people watching the live broadcast from Maine and California!

Thank you to our choir members, volunteers, team members, families, care partners, and everyone who helped make this meaningful season possible. Music continues to create connection, belonging, purpose, and moments of joy that last far beyond the concert.

This social engagement program provides an opportunity for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias a safe place to make joyful music.
