Libby Cafe

This will be the last post to our Cafe page. It is with a heavy hart that I post that my best friend and wife of 48 years lost her battle with A L S. She past quietly on the 3rd of June 2020 at our Daughters home in Pine Grove, Ca. On behalf of Paulette And myself I would like to thank all of our Beautiful customers and many friend who supported our little Cafe in Libby Montana over the 23 years we in business. It is my hope we brought a bit of love into your lives with the products we produced. Thank you one and all.

Well its been over a year and a half since I posted anything. AND alot has happened since my last post.
Gary is fine but I have been diagnosed with ALS ( Lou Gehrigs Disease) We are need of desperate help in finances and we have started a gofundme page to help with finances. WELL........ It has been a year tomorrow since we have closed the restaurant.... I truly miss all the customers and I really miss the baking part of it. We really appreciate all of the comments and posts that have appeared.
We have just started to realize that we have "lived" in our house for 20 years. BUT have not lived in it, Just slept and bathed in it. We are just starting to live here. Have found a lot of treasures that have been packed away for 2o years.

Yes we are enjoying retirement, Sorry it was under the circumstances that it was. But we are enjoying it very much.

Don' ask about the cookbook as I have not got it into the works yet. It is really hard converting restaurant products to residential. So many institutional products are hard to duplicate to "home" ingredients. But I am working on it, My oven sucks and it takes a while to convert recipes. Biut Dont give up on me yet.

That is all the news and info I can think of. Thank all of you that have been following our page and hope all is well it all of you. Blessings to you and be strong.

The End Of An Era

It was a LONG weekend, and we thank everyone that came out and participated with us. Hope you all enjoyed good food and Friends. We are exhausted along with our employees. It was a good run 23 years and we enjoyed every bit of it. Every morning when I turned the key in the door to open the restaurant I always asked myself "do I really want to be here". ? Every day I said "YES" but the last day was questionable. I think it was because I knew it was over, but Now the "clean out" will start. Maybe the last day of checking for the last time will be the day I say "no" I don't want to be here anymore. That will be a sad day for me. With much respect and tremendous respect to all our "friends" customer friends and just customers who became friends WE THANK YOU SO MUCH for being in our lives even if it was just for a one time visit. We hope that we brought a bit of (maybe it should be a bite) of pleasure to you for just a minute or so. AGAIN WE TRULY THANK YOU without you we would have not made it the 23 years. WELL we have one last day to go. And Today so much friendship and love and hugs. We appreciate all the comments and friendship from all of our customers and friends. As we are coming to the end our an era in our life, we are humbled by the comments, hugs and friends that have given us the warmth and attention. We cannot express the appreciation . cannot say any more,, we ARE humbled. Hope to see all of you in the future Gary and Paulette..

I want to share a cake that one of our customers brought in today. Some of them are so upset and forlorn that we are closing. This cake is and example of what they are feeling. I am sorry that I am not tech enough to get the picture great enough to see it properly, but you will get it

Oh WOW, so many people have posted of Facebook, and so many people have stopped by had a great visit and meal. Thank you all for your support and well wishes, it has been most heart warming. We both are very touched by the support and wishes. Most touching and we thank you all. Only 3 days left and we wish that there were more. Due to the lost of our lease we are "forced" into retirement because of such a bad winter of business and the poor economy of Libby. But again we thank all of you for your well wishes.

Well here I am Again..... Posting maybe for the final time until we close on 4/30. 5 days left. It has been great, have met so many wonderful people, and enjoyed every bit of the 23 years. So come on in for a 50% discount on full meals and Say good bye to Gary and me. Hope to see you before we leave. AND if we don't get to say goodbye, hope everyone receives the best that this world can offer you. Remember you can achieve greatness and go for the gusto.......... Paulette
