Crawlspaces are fun. Crawlspaces you can almost stand up in are amazing (and rare). If you don’t look forward to crawling around under your new home, invest in a home inspection.

Having an inspection is important. This is new construction and this issue was not easily visible from the ground. Loose shingles will detach in moderate wind and damage surrounding shingles. Having someone on your roof, in your attic or under your home will save you!

Not the inspection buddy l was expecting. Raccoons are too cute but so destructive. If you think you have activity or see a raccoon around your home, act sooner than later.

PSA: In our region it is recommended to have at least 11 inches of insulation (loose fill) in the attic. As the heat waves come, insulation is an important line of defense. Attic spaces can get into the 100s. If not properly insulated, that heat can radiate into your home. Save yourself from the heat and make sure you are adequately insulated!
