Mark your calendar!
TLC Fall Festival is on October 30, 6-9PM
https://go.fcps.net/FallFestival

Did you know that you can attend TLC and still be a part of your main high school's extracurricular activities? Our new schedule allows for students to be transported back just in time to be ready for their activities!

This week our Guidance Specialist and Program Manager attended the KDPP Conference to focus on fighting Chronic Absenteeism and an emphasis on showing up. Our Principal also taught a session on what a model alternative program looks like.

We are commited to doing all we can to have our students in school as much as possible! TLC is a place where you belong.

Last Friday, we had a schoolwide mentoring fair where community partners came in, shared what their groups are about, and students signed up for their interests. Missed it? Reach out to Ms. Harbut!

P.S. shoutout to Mr Craft for taking pictures with his signature pose

We're so grateful for our Officer Fox!!!

This week's peak performance comes from Officer Sirrethia Fox, assigned to The Learning Center. When faced with online safety issues affecting her school, Officer Fox quickly and diligently conducted the investigation. Strong relationships and trust allowed Officer Fox to follow leads and other indicators leading to the source of the online concerns. Officer Fox's hard work, which lasted nearly a week and went through the holiday weekend, was above and beyond expectations. These efforts and vigilance focused on safety solidified her strong bonds with students, staff, and families.

Officer Fox's dedication to this department is outstanding. Thank you, Officer Fox!

The Learning Center is raising money for the 2026 Kids Can Hunger Food Drive! Donations made through Virtual Food & Fund Drives will be designated for need-based purchases that support the mission of God’s Pantry Food Bank. Every $1 you donate helps provide 4 nutritious meals for Central and Eastern Kentuckians experiencing hunger.
