I waited way too long to visit in Clermont, Kentucky. 🥃

We enjoyed the campus, the bourbon and The Kitchen menu.

Five stars to the barbecue there! Try the pork sliders or empanadas. The Duck Rolls were also great.

🏇🏻 I’m not sure if I thought Keeneland could get any better but now I realize they can! They’ve redesigned many of their large exclusive access event rooms and they are totally gorgeous. We toured the Ivy, Sycamore and 1936 rooms. Plus a behind the scenes peek at the jockeys area where we learned more about the strict regulations for racing.

I think my favorite tree in Lexington has to be the giant Sycamore that thousands walk past and admire every day during racing season.

Keeneland has created an excitable ambiance perfect for creating wonderful racing memories each season.

I’ll ready for the Spring meet, how about you?! 💐

In the mood for Mexican & El Torro hit the spot! 🌮 I had the chicken quesadillas & my hubs ordered the tacos with a chilled Corona.

They have new Margarita flavors to choose from including watermelon & prickly pear. Their original margaritas are 2 for 1 at $8.99, so you can’t beat that!

All of their decor is imported from Mexico with much of it being hand painted. It really adds a nice & authentic touch.

Open 10-10 everyday.

One of our favorite treats is booking a cooking class. We’re on the mailing list so we get a heads up on the classes for the following month. They typically open up about four days in a row and you can see what the menu will be, which is the most important part, right?!

We decided we would love to celebrate Valentines together this way. They have typically 3 to 4 cooking stations per course. There are two people at each cooking station. Everything is precut & measured.

I love how communal this experience is because you meet people while you cook and while you dine. There is tons of food so no one goes hungry and the wine flows like water.

Each course involves several Stuaro’s doing ingredients, of course. And I have loved their oils, balsamic, flavored salt, and sugars.

Our menu:
🐓Coq Au Vin (kok-oh-VAN)- a classic French braised dish that literally translates to "rooster in wine" but we used chicken
🍤 🍅 Sun-dried tomato shrimp pasta
🍄‍🟫 Wild mushroom gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce
🍫 Chocolate chunk pancakes with Italian macerated strawberries Stuarto's Olive Oil Company
