Today, NaVOBA proudly recognizes Women Veterans Recognition Day.

Observed each year on June 12, this day commemorates the signing of the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act of 1948, which granted women the right to serve as permanent members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Before this landmark legislation, most women could only serve during times of war and were often required to leave military service once conflicts ended.

Women Veterans have helped shape our nation’s military history through their courage, leadership and service. Today, we honor their sacrifices, celebrate their achievements and recognize the lasting impact they continue to make in business, communities and beyond.
