Wi******er has HOPE. 💜

This weekend, our Wi******er, VA team joined the community for the annual Addicted to Hope Rally, an evening centered on hope, healing, connection, and the belief that recovery is possible.

The event brought together people in recovery, families, community partners, and local organizations committed to supporting those impacted by addiction.

The evening concluded with a moving candlelight vigil honoring those whose lives have been lost to overdose.

We’re proud of our Wi******er team for continuing to show up, build connections, and remind people throughout the community that recovery is possible and no one has to face addiction alone.

Mental health and substance use don’t always exist separately.
Depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health concerns can affect someone’s recovery journey, just as substance use can affect mental well-being.
During Mental Illness Awareness Week, we’re highlighting the importance of seeing and treating the whole person, not just one diagnosis.
That means listening without judgment, reducing stigma, and making it easier for people to talk about what they’re experiencing and ask for help.
Mental health matters in recovery, too.

Last week, our Youngstown team took some time to celebrate our patients, and the smiles say it all. 💛

Recovery is about so much more than treatment. It’s about connection, support, and knowing you don’t have to do it alone.

It feels good to show up for someone, but it can mean even more when someone shows up for you.

Our patients deserve to know they are seen, valued, and cared for, not just during celebrations like this, but every day, through the good days and the hard ones.

And yes… even when they lose at co****le. 😊

Thank you to our Youngstown team for creating moments of connection and reminding our patients that recovery is worth celebrating.

Depression doesn’t always look like sadness.
It can show up as low energy, isolation, changes in sleep, loss of interest, or simply feeling unlike yourself.
For someone in recovery, paying attention to mental health can be an important part of staying on track.
As we recognize Depression Awareness Month, we’re sharing this conversation as a reminder that mental health deserves attention, support, and open conversation too.

National Recovery Month may be coming to an end, but recovery doesn’t stop when September does.
Every day, people are taking steps forward, rebuilding relationships, asking for help, supporting someone they love, and creating lives in recovery.
And every day, the work continues to reduce stigma, expand access to treatment, and remind people that recovery is possible.
To everyone in recovery, everyone working toward it, and everyone supporting someone along the way: we’re with you.
Recovery happens every day. And we’ll keep showing up every day, too.

As Recovery Month comes to a close, the work doesn’t.

Addiction doesn’t end when September does. Neither does recovery, hope, treatment, or the need to keep having honest conversations about substance use disorder.

That’s why we’re continuing to share Addiction Ultimatum, a documentary that takes a closer look at addiction, treatment, recovery, and the realities individuals and families face along the way.

Recovery Month may be ending, but our commitment to changing the conversation continues.

For November, Ohio's Shining Bright Winner is Kandy Wolf, a nurse in Georgetown, OH. Kandy goes above and beyond for each patient. She is kind, empathetic, and truly listens to what the patient says. She is patient and compassionate with each person who crosses her path. When patients arrive, they typically ask if Kandy is available because something new and exciting happens in their lives. In other instances, they share hurdles and barriers they are facing. Kandy takes time, who rarely has time, to make their experience count. Outpatient programs make addiction treatment more accessible, affordable 12/15/2021

The Gleaner in Henderson, KY, highlights BrightView's premier substance use disorder treatment.

"At BrightView, a local outpatient treatment provider in Henderson, new patients can schedule appointments through a 24/7 call center or online. The treatment center accepts walk-ins on weekdays from 8 am to 3 pm. Patients can get medication, counseling, and social services support immediately.
Addiction treatment at an outpatient center is always less expensive than a residential facility, and not just because a larger percentage of care is covered by insurance. There's no need to pay for meals, housing, 24/7 care, and activities."

Outpatient programs make addiction treatment more accessible, affordable Most people struggling with addiction do not need to be hospitalized. They can often be successfully treated on an outpatient basis in their community.
