California has set a goal to install 6 million heat pumps by 2030. The demand is here, and a skilled, ready workforce is going to make it happen.

In East Oakland, the Cypress Mandela Training Center and Revalue.io are helping to build up that clean energy workforce right in their backyards. Their twelve-week pre-apprenticeship program trains 50–60 residents in heat pump installation, energy audits, and the career skills needed to land stable, high-paying jobs with local employers. Nearly all participants are Bay Area locals, and the program is open to anyone regardless of background or employment history.

If you know someone in the Bay Area interested in joining the clean energy workforce, the next orientation for the training program is July 2.
