10 journal prompts for today's 10/10 new moon in Libra.
2026 adds up to 10 too, so today is really 10/10/10. In numerology, 10 comes back to 1 (1+0), the number of new beginnings.
Libra is the sign of balance. And Venus, the planet of love, is moving backward in the sky, a time astrologers see for looking inward.
So this new moon is about your relationship with yourself.
It's also World Mental Health Day, a gentle reminder that checking in with yourself matters every day.
Grab your journal, take three slow breaths, and notice what you feel in your body before you write.
Affirmation: My body knows what it needs.
1. Where in my body do I feel tight, and where do I feel at ease?
2. What does my body need from me today?
Affirmation: I am allowed to receive.
3. Where am I giving more than I'm getting back?
4. What have I been needing that I haven't asked for?
Affirmation: I can say no with love.
5. Where do I need to say yes more? Where do I need to say no?
6. How do I talk to myself when things get hard?
Affirmation: I have time for what I love.
7. What do I love that I haven't been making time for?
8. How can I show up for myself this month?
Affirmation: I welcome what's beginning.
9. What new thing am I ready for?
10. By the full moon, I want to feel...
Come back to your pages at the full moon on 10/26 and see what's grown.
Send this to the friend you'd journal with. And tell me below, which prompt are you starting with?
If you'd like support going deeper with this, I offer breathwork, sound healing, and somatic sessions in Lewes, DE and online. Link in bio.
What if you spent November looking for the good?
30 Days of Gratitude starts November 1. Each day you get a short gratitude journal prompt, a guided meditation, and a mindful movement practice. A few minutes each day, at your own pace, from anywhere.
Every Monday we gather on Zoom for a Gratitude Reset with a gentle somatic practice. Every session is recorded, so you never miss a thing.
This is my third year leading this month of mindfulness, and it’s one of my favorite ways to pause, notice the good all around me, and let gratitude carry me into the holidays.
Registration is open at the link in my bio.
Send this to the friend you’d love to do it with, and comment “grateful” if you want the details sent to you.
Why does a big sigh feel so good?
I catch myself doing it all the time. Research shows we sigh without thinking about 12 times an hour. Sighs are linked with a feeling of relief, and they help your breathing reset after stress or a long stretch of holding still.
This breathing exercise is called the physiological sigh. Two breaths in through your nose, then one long sigh out through your mouth. The secret is the long exhale.
How to do it:
Breathe in through your nose
Take one more sip of air at the top
Sigh it all out through your mouth, slow and long
Doing it on purpose lets you find that feeling of letting go whenever you need it. Even one to three sighs can help you feel the shift.
It’s a fun one for kids too. Have a sighing contest and see who can make the longest, loudest sigh. They already know how, and you’ll all be laughing by round two.
When do you catch yourself sighing the most?
Save this breathwork for the next time you need it, and send it to someone who needs a reset today.
Yes, that's my nose. 🩹 I had Mohs surgery this week, so you'll see it healing in my videos for a bit. If a spot looks off, grows, or changes, please get it checked.
Then I took it to the trail. This fall I'm writing about releasing, and the trees are showing us how. Try this with me: tighten everything, hold, then let it all go. Notice the difference.
Where did you notice you were holding? Tell me below 👇

My go-to grounding practice for nervous moments.
I do it in my car before appointments and before I teach, and you can do it anywhere you're sitting.
1. Press the back of your head into the headrest
2. Feel your back against the seat
3. Notice your sitz bones and the backs of your legs
4. Feel your feet pressing into the floor
5.Pause and notice every place your body is supported
6. Take a deep breath in and sigh it out
When nerves pull us forward into what's next, feeling the back body helps us find balance and come back to this moment.
Save this for the next time you need it, and send it to a friend who has something big coming up this week.

POV: one of these is you.
I see this pattern over and over, session after session, and it's rarely about the thing that set it off. It's the nervous system doing what it learned to do a long time ago.
These are protective patterns, not something wrong with you. Somatic work, bodywork, breathwork, and energy work meet them differently, but they're all working toward the same thing, helping you understand yourself, heal, and grow.
Which one hit closest to home? Tell me in the comments.
Save this, or share it with someone who needs it.

Save this one. Future you will thank you.
Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4. Go around three times.
I come back to this one all the time. In the car, before a hard conversation, at night when my mind won't settle. Slowing your breath like this can help calm your nervous system, and the counting gives your thoughts somewhere to land.
It helps when you're:
Stuck in traffic
Heading into a big meeting or interview
At your limit with the kids
Lying in bed with your mind racing
A little tip: if the holds feel like too much, try counting to 2 or 3 and build up from there. There's no wrong way to start.
How do you feel after three rounds? Tell me below.
Send this to someone who's been carrying a lot lately.
Comment BREATHE and I'll send you a free Box Breath lock screen, so the reminder is there every time you pick up your phone.

Let me reintroduce myself. I'm Abby, and I help you close a few of those 47 brain tabs you've had open since at least 2019, so you can finally drop your shoulders and unclench your jaw.
Sound baths, breathwork, somatic work, energy sessions, and yoga classes of all kinds (yes, including silent disco yoga. The studio is great, the beach is better).
Be honest. How many tabs do you have open right now?
Having one of those days? Let’s breathe together for one minute.
You know the feeling. Your chest gets tight, your shoulders creep up toward your ears, and your mind starts racing ahead. Maybe you’re stuck in traffic, or the kids are melting down, or it’s 11pm and your brain won’t turn off.
This is box breathing. In for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4. Slowing your breath like this can help calm your nervous system, and counting gives your mind something to focus on.
Try it right now:
Notice your stress level, 1 to 10
Follow the light for three rounds
Check in again
Tell me your before and after numbers in the comments.
Save this for the next time you need it, and if someone came to mind while you were reading, send it their way. We all need a gentle reminder to breathe sometimes.

Be honest. When did you last give yourself a real pause?
Most of us carry a lot around all week. Our shoulders know it, our sleep knows it, and our minds definitely know it. This week is your invitation to slow down, tune in, and set some of that down.
Thursday evening, Restore. A gentle restorative class where bolsters and blankets hold you, so you don't have to hold everything yourself. It's the kind of rest that follows you all the way to bed.
Friday morning, Yin + Sound. Our chakra series reaches the third eye, the home of intuition. Long held poses and a live sound bath let the vibration move through your whole body, so that quiet inner voice has room to come through.
Sunday afternoon, Sound Bath + Meditation workshop. Ninety minutes to lie back and let gongs, crystal bowls, and chimes wash over you. Your only job is to be there.
Thu, Oct 1 · Restore · 5:30 to 6:45 PM
Fri, Oct 2 · Yin + Sound · 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Sun, Oct 4 · Sound Bath + Meditation · 1:00 to 2:30 PM
All at Dimitra Yoga in Lewes. Reserve your spot at the link in bio. I'd love to see you there.
