Baby inspection time!

I always check on them to make sure there is nothing wrong and to check that all bellies are full. In this inspection, I helped clean off the bottom side of 1 baby that could've easily lead to an infection.

Of course, my little helper is always here to tag along and whisper sweetly to the babies.

Big momma gave birth to NINE baby bunnies yesterday. She did a great job pulling more fur to keep them warm through the night. Looks like a majority will be all white like their momma, but I've spotted at least 2 broken colored babies 💜.

Sadly sometimes things happen and that's why you always need to be prepared for plan B. Thankfully I have spare pens to bring my rabbits onto my porch when necessary.

"Big Momma" is due any day and will stay up here while I better fortify my rabbit hutches from predators.

Daisy isn't the only one due around here. "Big Momma" has started making her nest and as of this morning is pulling fur too. 💙

She is my American/New Zealand cross momma and she is HUGE.

Much anticipated litter from Daisy and Duke! My first purebred REX litter. She has pulled fur and made her nest. I'll be checking her pen multiple times today for babies.

I can't wait!

Peppermints babies have reached 6 wks! I now will be starting the weaning process by pulling the two largest babies from her pen. They are now located next to their dad "Peter Rabbit". Their greeting went very well. Peter Rabbit is just the sweetest and greeted them with kisses. 💙

Peppermints babies are still doing great. They are getting big!

Peppermints babies are all starting to open their eyes and get very active crawling around.

Yummy left over strawberry tops for all my mommas and babies. I do like to spoil them with kitchen scraps when appropriate for their diet.

She is such a great momma bun!

I have 3 that are all old enough to be adopted out. (Broken gray/white female is my keeper) They enjoyed some fresh grass time today with my new gate. Looking forward to doing this more in the future.
