Looking for field board with an indoor for the winter? We have 2 field board openings for geldings, but please note, at least partial training is REQUIRED. Large field with run in shed, round bales through the winter and blanketing included. A dry lot situation may also be available. We have an indoor, outdoor, and good ride out with a friendly community of adult amateurs. No cribbers, please. The Waredaca Classic 3 Day Event was a goal for many of our riders. Many qualified, and a few made it their year end goal. It was intense, but it kept everyone focused on their training. That focus paid off. Maureen Kelleher and Pernicious was 5th out of 27 competitors. They were the TIP champion as well as awarded for Best Conditioned! Sam Dombach and Artie stayed in the ribbons wtih 10th. Artie was the only Draft Cross in the ribbons and showed a lot of heart in the endurance phase. Alex Friend and Colonel just missed a ribbon with 11th place but did take home 4th in the TIP. There was also a team competition and we were happy to have our friend, Kate Geier compete on our team with her horse, Rusty. They took 6th overall and Reserve on the TIP helping our team get to 2nd place! Kathleen Atkinson and Shea Lavey took care of horses and riders alike, making this all possible.

Last minute opening! We have 1 spot for our Rider Makeover Clinic with Emily Rose on Thursday, October 5th in the afternoon. Emily is a certified PT for both horses and people and can help with everything from getting back in the saddle after an injury to improving your seat and core engagement. Sessions are $175 for 1 hour 15 minutes and begin with riding so Emily can observe, then treatment on the table (or possibly treatment for your horse) and then putting you back on the horse to bring it all together!

Who doesn't love a fancy warm blood? Joe is looking for a half or full lease partner. He's got all the buttons and lovely floating movement! Joe likes a rider who will give him direction. Emily Rose, Certified Physical Therapist for both human and horse will join us again on October 5thh and 7th. This is a unique clinic that identifies imbalances or weakness in our own bodies or those of our horses and can help us rehab from old injuries or stiffness. Don't miss it! Each 1 hour and 15 minute session involves her watching the rider and horse together, putting the rider on the treatment table for some PT, and then back on the horse to feel the difference along with some exercises to help carry it forward. I was really excited for today and it did not disappoint. 8 of us competed at MDHT. Every rider pinned in their division. Many riders overcame fears from prior bad experiences and rode their hearts out. Everyone supported each other, worked together and made a very hectic day run smoothly. Thanks to Renee for coming out to be an extra set of hands.

Eventing is not for the faint of heart. Each of us asked ourselves "why am I doing this???" at some point today. Despite the cold and rain, there were so many good rides and even cheerleaders (who really didn't have to come out in these adverse conditions!!) who supported and cheered for those of us crazy enough to be riding. How can you make cold rain fun?? I don't know but somehow we did today! Better together!!
