Cadence Stables has a rare stall board opening at the end of May. We offer lovely pastures, newly renovated outdoor arena with fiber footing, indoor, ride out and a wonderful barn family to ride and learn with. Training available but not required. PM for more details

Elle and Mandate have their first show together with a 33 in dressage and clear jump round!
Leslie Faenza and Bella enjoy their horses and the beauty of our ride out, galloping across the fields
Tyler Warman rock out 2 perfect jump rounds at Great meadows
Maur Kell show Vic the excitement of showing (from afar) and pilot Pernicious through a very successful novice jump round.
Enjoy my own horse, Nate's, exuberance and work ethic though a Prelim jump round.

Beautiful day for a romp through hill and dale! Our own little "mock hunter pace" was a success! We'll do more as weather and time permits--watch for other opportunities!

Post update: great job to our Elementary riders as well! Tyler Warman is back at it doing all 3 phases, Kathleen Atkinson had 2 clear jump rounds with great confidence on XC and Yve Sturman pushed herself outside her comfort zone and completed 3 phases having only jumped a handful of times recently. 👏👏👏

Skipper (Jc name Cinc pac) is a 2016 TB gelding who raced 1 time in 2019 before Phyllis Dawson scooped him up and took him to Windchase to be let down. One of my adult amateur riders bought him because of his puppy dog personality and lovely movement but she's decided she's more of a draft cross type rider. Skipper is easy to handle, well mannered and in your pocket! He ties, loads, and has been off property with us many times to hack, xc school and do the loch moy derbies (elem). He's a youngster that needs more miles and muscle but he has a superb brain for any amatuer working with a trainer. There's a lot of talent in this horse yet to show because we've taken things slowly and done a lot of flat and lateral work. Asking ✌0,000. Call or text 540-454-1444 to come see this gem!

Sharing for one of our boarders: Horse available for a partial lease: he loves to jump and will jump anything. He would be great for an experienced rider looking to improve their skills. He used to do hunters but has good potential as a low level eventer. If interested let Rachel know. You can text 314-616-7044. Videos available.

This is the first time in over a year that I have [client's] horses available for lease! Lease terms are flexible but a lesson a week is suggested and in some cases may be required.

We had an exciting day at Red Gate HT yesterday! Lots of firsts--first shows with new partners and first time competing at a new level. I didn't get many pictures, so please share pics and video here!

Fun day at CDCTA yesterday! Despite a lot of rainfall overnight, everyone had great runs and a successful day! Maureen and Pernicious had the best day, coming in 4th in their BN division! 🎉🎉

Official update time! I think we all felt a bit rusty going into our first 3 phase competition of the season. Dressage was a little rough for me personally, and I think Sabrina and Duchess felt the same way, though there were some bright spots in both of our tests. Maureen and Pernicious were the dressage champs of our group today with a solid test. Maureen and P had a nice show jump round with just one rail. Sabrina and duchess had a lovely show jump round that was double clear! And Nate stepped it up for XC and did his job well! All in all a great day. We had a LOT of packing to do tonight to get everything back into the trailer that came out, but we are well on our way. Big thanks to Sabrina's family for helping us get packed!

We're here!!! It was a (thankfully) uneventful trip down to Hoffman, NC. The horses were silent the entire way. Now they are settled into their accommodations until their private turn out tonight 😍

Calling all mare lovers--Melissa's Gal, "Meli," is looking for her next partner to enjoy. Meli is a 16 hh, 2013 ottb out of Gal's Night Out by Unbridled Energy. Her last race was in March of 2018. She has lovely, floaty gaits and a bold jump.

We have had Meli since September of 2019. She has competed at many low level starter and schooling events in the area and been cross country schooling often. This horse has Novice potential, maybe more with the right partner. Meli has great talent, agility, and motion; the challenge is that she can get tense or uncertain when her rider is inconsistent or confusing in their instructions. She needs a confident and patient rider who can give her the support to be her best self, and when she finds that partner, she is going to be amazing. She is sweet and personable on the ground, easy to catch and handle. She loves to show you how she can do carrot stretches!


She has had no health or soundness issues since we have had her. PPE welcome. Meli has gotten regular chiropractic work and acupuncture and the vet is very happy with her body condition and muscling. She's in 4 shoes, but nothing special. Meli currently lives out during the day and is stalled at night.

Yesterday we had a brisk and windy day at the Beverly Jumper show but it was worth it! Courtney and Raven made their debut back to showing in over a year, Maureen and P had lovely rounds at 2'6 and 2'9 (Novice here they come!) and Avery won both her 2'9 and 3' class 🥰

We started 2021 with a hugely successful day at the Loch Moy derby! All our riders had great runs!

Excellent weekend at the Loch Moy Donation Derby! It was so fun to watch our riders put into practice the things they've worked so hard on at home! Martha and Winny WON their division! There were lots of other "firsts" as well- First run at training division for Annaliese, First off property show for Celina, as well as Sonata, first ride since VHT for Avery 😉! I'm proud of everyone and can't wait to set new goals for the January Derby.
