If OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts are important for you to have on your vehicle following an accident…..call your insurance company and upgrade your coverage for them. Most everyone’s policy does not cover OEM parts if aftermarket parts are available as a cheaper option. I don’t know the cost difference in the upgrade for OEM coverage but it would be highly beneficial if you have a claim.
